No restriction, no Monday restarts and no letting a number ruin your day. Five short lessons to reset how you think about weight loss, so the habits finally stick.
With Coach Alex ยท I lost 40lbs walking and eating foods I love
Most women don't fail at weight loss because of their workouts or their meals. They quit because of what happens in their head: the scale goes up, they eat a cookie, they miss a walk, and suddenly it's "I'll start again Monday."
This reset fixes that part. Give it 10 minutes a day for 5 days.

Day 1 ยท Reset your scale
Stop letting the scale dictate your mood
How to measure progress without obsessing over your weight.
The truth about the scale
The scale measures everything in your body: water, salt from last night's dinner, your cycle, sore muscles, even when you last went to the bathroom. It can swing 1โ4lbs overnight without you gaining an ounce of fat.
So when you step on, see a higher number and feel like a failure, you're judging yourself on data that mostly isn't about fat at all.
The scale is one piece of data. It's not a grade on how good you've been.
Track these instead
Your steps and walks: the thing you actually control every day
How your clothes fit: pick one pair of jeans as your "check-in jeans"
Energy, sleep and mood: are you less tired at 3pm?
Monthly photos: same spot, same lighting, same outfit
Measurements: waist and hips, once a month
Still want to weigh in? Weigh at the same time, after the bathroom, before eating, and only look at your weekly average, not one day.
Your Day 1 action
Reflect
How has the number on the scale been affecting your day? What would you do differently if it didn't exist?
Want this built into a plan for you? I'll turn your walks, meals and habits into one weekly plan that fits your life.
How to enjoy meals out, treats and your favorite foods without feeling like you've ruined your progress.
Why guilt backfires
Guilt doesn't stop you eating the cookie. It just makes you feel terrible after, and that feeling is what leads to "well, I've already ruined today" and the rest of the packet.
There are no "good" or "bad" foods. There's food you enjoy and food that fuels you, and most of the time it can be both. You eat around 21 meals a week. One dinner out is one of 21.
Change the words you use
"I was so bad today"
"I enjoyed that, and my next meal is a normal one"
"I'm not allowed pizza"
"I can have pizza whenever I want, so I don't need to eat all of it"
"I ruined my diet"
"That was one meal, not my whole week"
How to enjoy a treat or meal out
Plan it, don't sneak it. Planned treats feel like a choice. Sneaked ones feel like failure.
Add, don't subtract. Add protein and veggies to the meal instead of skipping the part you love.
Sit down and actually taste it. No eating standing at the counter.
Go for a walk after. Not as punishment, just because it feels good and helps digestion.
Your Day 2 action
Reflect
Which foods do you feel most guilty about? Where did that rule come from: you, or a diet you tried once?

What to do after overeating or missing a workout, instead of restarting every Monday.
The Monday trap
You overeat on Wednesday, so Thursday and Friday become "free days" and the weekend is a write-off because you'll start fresh on Monday. That's 4 days lost to one meal.
Results come from what you do most of the time, not from being perfect. Doing 70% for a year beats 100% for two weeks, every single time.
You don't need a fresh start on Monday. You need a fresh start on your next meal. That's the whole reset.
Your "what now" plan
Overate? Drink some water, go for a 10 minute walk, and make your next meal a normal one. Don't skip meals to "make up for it".
Missed a workout? Do the smallest version: a 10 minute walk counts. Then follow the rule: never miss twice.
Had a rough week? Go back to your minimum day (below) until you feel steady again.
Build your minimum day
This is your floor, the bare minimum you'll do even on your worst day. Keep it so easy it feels almost silly. Example: a 15 minute walk, protein at breakfast, 2 glasses of water.

How to enjoy vacations, birthdays and social events while still working toward your goals.
You're not "starting after"
After the wedding. After summer. After the holidays. There will always be another event, and if your plan only works when life is quiet, it isn't a plan you can keep.
The goal isn't to be perfect at events. It's to enjoy them and get straight back to normal after.
The event playbook
Before: Get your walk in that morning and eat normal meals. Don't starve yourself to "save up".
During: Pick the 1โ2 things you really want and enjoy them properly. Skip the stuff you're eating just because it's there.
Drinks: Alternate with water, or pick one drink you love and sip it slowly.
After: Next meal is a normal one. No guilt, no punishment workouts.
On vacation
Explore on foot. Walking around a new place gets your steps in without trying.
Have one meal a day that's protein and veggies, then enjoy the rest.
Aim to maintain, not lose. Coming home the same weight is a win.
Your Day 4 action
Reflect
What have you said no to, or not fully enjoyed, because you were "on a diet"? What would it feel like to say yes this time?
